Two capitals of Russia (Moscow and St. Petersburg)

Day 1: Arrival in Moscow. Meet at the airport/railway station. Transfer to hotel. Check-in (3 nights). Free time.

Day 2: Breakfast (open buffet). Sightseeing trip around Moscow – introduction to famous places, including Red Square, St. Basil’s Cathedral, Kitay-gorod, Novodevichy Convent, Poklonnaya Hill, and Vorobyovy Gory. You will get a first impression of the most important and biggest city in Russia — Moscow! Visit the Moscow Kremlin – the most central attraction in Russia. Inside the Kremlin is the main Cathedral Square, with its unique architectural ensemble from the Middle Ages: Uspensky, Arhangelsky, and Blagoveshensky Cathedrals, the Faceted Chamber, Golden Tsarina’s Chamber with the Church of Terem Palace, Ruzpolozhenia Cathedral, Patriarch’s Chambers with the Church of the Twelve Apostles, the Ivan the Great Bell Tower, the Tsar’s Cannon and Tsar’s Bell.  Free time.

Transport: 8 hours

Day 3: Breakfast (open buffet). Travel underground in the Moscow Metro with stops at the most beautiful stations: Ploshad Revolutsii, Komsomolskaya, Novoslabodskaya, Tretyakovskaya and others. Exit the metro at Tretyakovskaya station. Tour the Tretyakov Gallery. Free time to walk around the city.

Day 4: Check out. Visit the Tsaritsyno museum. Excursion to the Palace part of the architectural and park ensemble and sightseeing tour of the Grand Palace, including the state rooms and Archeology halls. Return to Moscow to Old Arbat street, followed by the walking tour «Oh, Arbat, my Arbat»: acquaintance with the famous Pedestrian Street, mansions, museums, and theaters located on the street, and famous people who lived there. Transfer to Leningrad Railway Station. Departure to St. Petersburg by night train (2nd class).

Day 5: Arrival to St. Petersburg. Breakfast in a restaurant in the city. Sightseeing trip around St. Petersburg – introduction to world-famous places including Palace Square, St. Isaac’s Cathedral, Admiralty House, Kunstkamera («cabinet of curiosities»), Spit of Vasilevsky Island, and Nevsky Prospect. You will get a first impression of the most beautiful city in Russia, its «cultural capital” St. Petersburg! Visit Peter and Paul Fortress – the first buildings on the banks of the river Neva, which has kept its original spirit for the 300 years of its history. The spirit of Peter the Great’s city is preserved inside the walls of the fortress, where you will visit Peter and Paul Cathedral and Trubetsky bastion’s prison.

Transfer to hotel. Check-in at hotel (3 nights).

Day 6: Breakfast (open buffet).  St. Petersburg was conceived originally as an international city. Throughout its history, more than 30 nationalities from different parts of the world lived in the city. Nevsky Prospect is the main street and there are 6 churches of different confessions. You will visit one of them – Kazan Cathedral , the main temple of the city. Visit the largest museum in Russia – the Hermitage, with its collection of art from all over the world. The Hermitage is perceived as the “face” of St. Petersburg. A professional tour guide will lead you up the famous Grand Staircase of the Winter Palace, where you will see rooms where Russian emperors lived and view many exhibits while your guide tells you about their history. You will also have a chance to continue learning about the museum’s treasures after the tour. Free time in the city.

Day 7: Breakfast (open buffet). Departure to one of the most magnificent suburbs of St. Petersburg – Tsarskoe Selo. It has a combination of two historical styles – baroque and classicism. There are several parks here, and you will visit one of them – Catherine’s Park with Catherine’s Palace, where the fantastic Amber Room is located. Near the park is the Lyceum where Alexander Pushkin studied, which is now a museum (visiting the museum can be arranged for an additional fee). Return to the hotel. Free time.

Day 8: Breakfast (open buffet). Check-out. Free time. Transfer to airport/railway station.
